Final Catalogue :
Abundantly sitting on trunks of oaks and occasionally other trees from late March to 10 May at Bentley Woods, Ipswich, Nacton, Henley, Hemingston, Braiseworth, Stuston, Beccles; and Brandon (Wm). On sallow blossom at Fritton on 3 April 1936. Females quite rare.
