Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 3) Distribution and abundance : Local Habitats : In a wide variety of habitats Flight Period : Single-brooded, September to May, hibernating through the winter Larval foodplants : Many species of willow (Salix), including White Willow (Salix alba), Purple Willow (Salix purpurea), Osier (Salix viminalis), Goat Willow (Salix caprea), Grey Willow (Salix cinerea), Eared Willow (Salix aurita) and Creeping Willow (Salix repens) Morley's Final Catalogue : A common sallow-feeder; 'Suffolk' (Steph.
