Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 3) Distribution and abundance : Rare Habitats : Fens, marshes, river-edges, woodland rides and other damp areas Flight Period : Single-brooded, July to September Larval foodplants : Wild Angelica (Angelica sylvestris), less often Hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium) or Milk Parsley (Peucedanum palustre). On the continent also reported from Burnet-saxifrage (Pimpinella saxifraga), Ground-elder (Aegopodium podagraria), Wild Parsnip (Pastinava sativa) and Lesser Water-parsnip (Berule erecta) Records : Minsmere (S Clancy, 26.vii.2004) Morley's Final Catalogue : UNrecorded but surely common on Angelica ? - CM.
