Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 4) Distribution and abundance : Localised mainly to Brecks and Sandlings Habitats : Woodland, fens, wet heathland, marshes and other areas where sallow occurs Flight Period : Single-brooded; mid-May to mid-July Larval foodplants : On the leaves of sallows (Salix) Records : Ipswich (N Sherman, 2001-2, 2004-5), Brandon (G Austin, 7.vii.2001, 5.vii.2003), Redgrave Fen (SMG, 7.vi.2002) Morley's Final Catalogue : Surely neglected only; usually in profusion. No records since before 1890, when it was found at Leiston (Hon. Beatrice de Grey), till June 1935 when it abounded on sallows in Fritton marshes (Morley).
