Local Status : Resident and migrant (SMP Status 3) Distribution and abundance : Localised to Brecks and coastal areas Habitats : Grassland Flight Period : Single-brooded; June to July Larval foodplants : Wild carrot (Daucus carota), in the seed-heads Records : Landguard (N Odin & M Marsh, 1997, 1999 & 2000-2), Lakenheath (R Parker, 15.vii.1995), Sizewell (D Funnell, 1998), Tunstall (D Young, 31.vii.1999), West Stow (SMG, 16.vii.1999), Mildenhall (G Boyd 22.vi.1995 & 19.vii.1997; SMG, 24.vii.1999), Nowton (R Eley et al., 17.vii.1999), Knettishall Heath (M Hall, 19.vii.1999) Morley's Final Catalogue : Quite infrequent. Bentley Woods in An st 1899 (Mly); Felixstow (Ml), two specimens there in 1901 (Gibbs) ; one at Lowestoft in August (Ent. 1922, 258).
