Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 1) Distribution and abundance : Widespread and common Habitats : Woodlands and hedgerows Flight Period : Single-brooded; March to mid-May Larval foodplants : Dog-rose and other wild roses Morley's Final Catalogue : Extremely abundant throughout the County in March and April, from Wherstead (Baylis) and Copdock (Hkg) to Bungay (Mn), Gorleston and Lound (Mr); Monks Soham at sallows. Actually recorded from the west at only Bury and Lavenham. Wingspan details : Forewing 14-18mm, Wingspan 31-35mm Identification
