Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 1) Distribution and abundance : Widespread and common Habitats : Woodland, hedgerows, heathland, scrub and fens Flight Period : Single-brooded; June to July Larval foodplants : Dog-rose, Burnet Rose and probably other types of rose Morley's Final Catalogue : Of by no means the frequent occurrence we know in south England. Very rare about Ipswich, and there only two at Whitton netted in a decade; uncommon at Monks Soham; and found really commonly at Yoxford and Holton alone.
