Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 1) Distribution and abundance : Local, never appearing in large numbers Habitats : Open woodland, grassland, scrub and hedgerows in chalky areas Flight Period : Single-brooded; mid-June to mid-August Larval foodplants : Traveller's Joy and possibly cultivated varieties of clematis Morley's Final Catalogue : Of frequent occurrence everywhere among clematis from Bures, Belstead and Bramford to Gorleston. Very rare at Monks Soham. Unnoted west of Bury. Wingspan details : Forewing 14-18mm, Wingspan 31-36mm Identification
