Local Status : Uncertain (SMP Status 4) Habitats : Mature oak woodland, hedgerows with mature oaks Flight Period : Single-brooded; late April to May Larval foodplants : Pedunculate Oak and possibly Sessile Oak Records : No recent records Morley's Final Catalogue : Local through the southern half of England; still considered to be very rare in Suffolk, with but three instances: Needham (L), Bury (Wrt), both before 1890; and one specimen at rest on an oak trunk near Timworth (Nurse, Entom. 1911, 220).
