Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 3) Distribution and abundance : Local Habitats : Saltmarshes, river banks, coastal habitats and rough open habitats Flight Period : Single-brooded; mid-June to mid-August Larval foodplants : Seeds of goosefoots and oraches Comments : Most frequently recorded in coastal areas and near to rivers Morley's Final Catalogue : A very distinct species, 'usually common on the sea-coast' (Barrett). Ipswich(C, Ml), at light in 1893 (Mly); a half-dozen at Orford in 1902 (Gibbs); Aldeburgh (Crtw); Beecles (Crf); Gorleston in early July (D). This is another coast insect occurring on the Breck, at Brandon (Whe). Wingspan details : Forewing 11-13mm, Wingspan 21-23mm Identification
