Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 1) Distribution and abundance : Widespread and not uncommon Habitats : Broadleaved woodland, hedgerows, scrub, heathland and gardens Flight Period : Double-brooded; late May to June and late July to early September, occasional early and late records Larval foodplants : Leaves, flowers and buds of Holly, Ivy, Wild Privet, Dogwood, Guelder-rose and Hawthorn Morley's Final Catalogue : Mildenhall (Btn), Barton (Wrt) and among ivy at Tostock (Norgate), only in the west. Fairly frequent in the east at Copdock, Martlesham, Waldringfield, Shrubland Park, Needham, Finburgh, Leiston, Gorleston. Wingspan details : Forewing 10-14mm, Wingspan 25-29mm Identification
