Local Status : Rare immigrant (SMP Status 4) Distribution and abundance : Potentially could occur anywhere in the county Flight Period : Double-brooded on the Continent; May to June and July to August Larval foodplants : poplars, willows, Aspen and birches Records : Walberswick (per Skinner [1998], 24.vii.1992) Morley's Final Catalogue : This central European Prominent is of extreme rarity throughout Britain. Of the few indigenous specirnens recorded, we boast two. An example was taken at a gas-lamp at Ipswich about 1867 (Exhibited before Entom. Soc. Lond. in April 1877); and a male similarly flew to light in a shop-window at Southwold, 1884 (E. G. Meek, Entom. 1884, 253). None later recorded.
