Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 1) Distribution and abundance : Widespread and common Habitats : Broad-leaved woodland, scrub, heathland, gardens Flight Period : Single-brooded; March to mid-May Larval foodplants : Little known; various herbaceous plants Morley's Final Catalogue : Probably quite common, and considered 'rare' in 1890 merely through dearth of April collectors. Certainly frequent enough in Bentley Woods (Mly, Baylis, Pyett) and at light in Ipswich. Recorded elsewhere from Stowmarket (C), Covehithe and Holton (Btn), Barsham (Gls), Beccles (Crowfoot), Fritton (Moore) and Beiton (Wiltshire).
