Local Status : Immigrant (SMP Status 4) Distribution and abundance : Rare Habitats : Oak woodland and hedgerows where it is resident elsewhere in the country Flight Period : Single-brooded; March to April. All recent Suffolk records occurred during an influx in early April Larval foodplants : Oak, possibly other herbaceous shrubs Records : Lower Hollesey Common (SMG, 5.iv.1999), Little Blakenham (SMG, 4.iv.1999), Ipswich (J Higgott, 8.iv.1999) and Elveden (B Statham, iv.2003), Bawdsey (M Deans, 22.iv.2007) Morley's Final Catalogue : Much confused with the next kind (Small Quaker). Singly at lckworth (Wrt), and Needham (L), before 1890. Flew to electric light in Ipswich on 7 April 1894 (Mly) and to sallow at Kessingland in 1936 (Gd).
