Local Status : Resident and immigrant (SMP Status 2)

Distribution and abundance : Commonest in the east of the county, especially in coastal areas. In recent years it has become establised as a resident in other parts of the county.

Habitats : Coastal habitats, heathland, fens, woodland, scrub, gardens

Flight Period : May be recorded; from mid-May to October

Larval foodplants : Various grasses

Morley's Final Catalogue : Hemley parsonage garden, a single example which came to sugar on 5 September 1902: Waller (Barrett EMM. 1902, 263).

Wingspan details : Forewing 14-17mm, Wingspan 32-37mm
