Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 1) Distribution and abundance : Widespread and common Habitats : In a wide variety, including woodland, scrub, heathland, grassland, fens and gardens Flight Period : Single-brooded; June to mid-August. Literature reports an occasional second partial brood in late autumn. Occasional records have been made up until mid-September. Larval foodplants : Various herbaceous plants Morley's Final Catalogue : Both referring also to Mottled Rustic are sufficiently frequent at light everywhere; Ipswich, Monks Soham, Gorleston.
