Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 1) Distribution and abundance : Widespread and common Habitats : In a wide variety, including heathland, fens, open woodland, scrub and gardens Flight Period : Single-brooded; June to mid-August. As with Uncertain there are occasional late records up until mid-September Larval foodplants : Various herbaceous plants Morley's Final Catalogue : Of but slightly less frequent occurrence than the preceding two species (Uncertain and Mottled Rustic); Copdock, on one occasion flying to light in a storm of wind and rain ; Orford; Sotterly, Monks Soham; Brandon.
